Aloha,

When folks think of Hawaii they think of Aloha and hula dancing just to name a couple of things at the top of the list.

Well in April the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival and competition is held every year in Hilo. Hula dancers and groups come from all over the islands and the world to compete during the festival.

This year, see the link below, there is even a group arriving next week from Chicago that wil be performing in Volcano, just south of Hilo, at the national park.

It is a fun time and I will post pictures and other links as I find them from this years event.

Actually I just remembered I have some hula photos of some friends of our that I will add now. They perform at our farmers market once a month in south Kona.
